The Gallery at PhotoWorks
Gallery Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in submitting your work to the Gallery at PhotoWorks. The following is a list of requirements that should be met in order for the gallery to properly evaluate your portfolio. If you are unable to comply with any of the requirements, please contact a gallery representative prior to submission in order for proper consideration to be given to your work. A failure to meet the guidelines without prior contact will result in the work being returned to you without review. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

• You must submit a minimum of 12 images with a maximum of 24 images. If you are accepted, additional images may be represented if available.

• Please submit a representative cross section of your work. The Gallery at PhotoWorks desires to show artists’ work in groupings of similar work or theme. Please keep this in mind with your submission. Submit your work on the paper surface that will be offered for sale, please, no ink jet prints unless the printing is integral to the process.

• Please submit at least 2 prints in the largest size that you offer. For example, if you offer sizes ranging from 8x10 to 20x30, submit at least 2 prints in the 20x30 size. This allows the gallery to evaluate print quality. In this regard, please submit the largest print size from the smallest camera format. (For example, if you capture using both 35mm and 6x7cm, please submit the largest print from 35mm and 6x7cm.)The balance of the submission may be in a size of the artists’ choosing.

• All prints must be mounted and matted as they will be offered. Please wrap or bag your work.

• Please submit an artists’ bio with complete contact information, include the camera format(s) that you work with along with preferred film and paper types. Include printing information such as artist printed, lab printed etc.

• Please include a complete list of all works submitted along with sizes available, framing options and pricing. The Gallery at PhotoWorks currently accepts a 40% commission on sales. Please note that the Gallery only accepts work that is artist signed and numbered in limited edition.

Review of your portfolio may take up to 30 days, depending on the number of submissions currently under review. Please keep this in mind. Upon completion of the review, you will be contacted by a gallery representative and will be asked to retrieve your submission in timely fashion. At that time the representative will inform you of our decision. You may submit to the gallery 1 time per year.
